In their debut game, Leo can equip male and female customization items (though on the other hand, you can't equip them with costumes that reveal the torso, both male and female), can be affected by all gender-specific throws, and is placed in the male section of the Tekken 6 art book.On August 19, 2011, Katsuhiro Harada, the director/producer of the series, officially stated that Leo was assigned-female-at-birth and their real name is Eleonor. Word of God says the character was made to be loved by fans regardless of gender. Thanks to their appearance, Leo's gender had been under discussion since Tekken 6 came out.

Alternate Company Equivalent: Similar to Ibuki and Xiaoyu, Leo's ''SF'' equivalent can be considered Makoto.Overall, a balanced character who gets rewards from good punish alongside fundamental skills. Leo's pressure game in neutral however is rather average. Boasting a small range of stances and crouch dash follow-ups, Leo boasts several counter-hit and punish tools at disposal as well as versatile pool of normal moves. Leo is a simple yet effective all-rounder character with strong combo damage, especially off a good chunk of Leo's wall-splat moves.
